Setup and Fishing Guidance
Pair the rod with a spinning reel that balances comfortably at the handle and carries enough suitable line for your fishing location. Select line within the chosen model's rating and set the drag to suit the weakest component in the setup.
When casting a bait rig, account for the combined weight of the sinker, bait, and other terminal tackle. Stay within the selected model's casting range and use a smooth cast rather than a sudden snap. Choose Medium-Heavy for setups within its 2–8 oz range or Heavy when your presentation calls for its 3–12 oz range.
With circle-hook rigs, let the line tighten and reel steadily as the rod loads instead of making a sharp hookset. Keep a controlled rod angle during the fight and use a landing net rather than lifting a fish by the rod.
Care
Wipe down the blank and handle after use and check each guide for damage that could fray line. After saltwater exposure, rinse gently with fresh water and dry before storage. Protect the tip during transport and avoid trapping the blank in doors or under heavy gear.
