Add Flash to Your Soft Swimbait

The 1st Contact Tungsten Bladed Swimbait Hook combines a tungsten-weighted hook with a spinning underspin blade. Rig it with a compatible soft-plastic swimbait to add flash and vibration beneath the bait as you retrieve.

A screw-lock spring secures the nose of the plastic, while the matte black finish gives the hook a subdued appearance. Choose the 1/8 oz or 3/16 oz weight to suit your presentation, then adjust retrieve speed to the depth and cover you're fishing.

Features and Options

  • Weight options: 1/8 oz and 3/16 oz.
  • Tungsten-weighted design.
  • Spinning underspin blade for flash and vibration.
  • Matte black finish.
  • Screw-lock spring bait keeper.
  • Designed for soft-plastic swimbait presentations.

How to Fish It

Choose a soft swimbait that fits the hook with enough clearance for the plastic to compress during a bite. Center the screw-lock in the bait's nose, twist it into place, and bring the hook through the body so the bait sits straight. Where appropriate, lightly skin-hook the point to reduce snagging; the exposed blade and hardware can still catch cover.

Make a controlled cast and let the rig sink to your chosen depth. Begin with a steady retrieve that keeps the blade turning and the bait tracking upright. Slow-roll it along an edge or retrieve above submerged vegetation, adjusting speed and sink time as needed. Check the blade for grass if the vibration changes.

When a fish takes the bait, reel down to remove slack and make a firm, controlled hookset. Match your rod, line, and drag to the complete rig and the cover rather than the hook weight alone.

Care

Inspect the hook point, screw-lock, and blade connection before fishing. Remove debris after use, dry the hook before storage, and keep it secured away from loose tackle and fingers.
