How to Rig It

Move an O-ring onto the larger-diameter portion of the tool. Insert the stick bait until the desired ring position lines up with the tool's opening, then slide the O-ring off the tool and onto the bait. Remove the bait and carefully slip a compatible wacky hook beneath the ring, keeping your fingers clear of the point.

Check that the ring holds the bait securely without cutting into the plastic and that the hook has enough clearance. Bait diameter affects fit, so check your chosen stick bait before fishing.

How to Fish It

Cast the rig to a target and let the bait fall on controlled slack, watching the line for movement. Add gentle twitches and pauses rather than continuously pulling it through the water. When a fish takes the bait, reel down and use a controlled hookset appropriate to the hook you're using.
