How to Fish It
Straight retrieve — Cast past the target and retrieve at a steady pace. The wide wobble mimics a dying baitfish and triggers reaction strikes from tuna, mackerel, and bonita busting on the surface.
Jig and twitch — Let the lure sink to your target depth, then work it with sharp rod twitches and pauses. The darting action is deadly on suspended fish and offshore pelagics holding below the surface.
Surface burn / skip — Burn it fast across the surface and the lure skips like a fleeing baitfish — a trigger for aggressive surface-feeding fish.
Deep jigging — In 50–100+ ft of water, let it fall on a semi-slack line (the lure falls horizontally with a side-to-side flutter), then rip and drop. Effective for blackfin and yellowfin tuna offshore.
