Z-Man Big TRD 4-Inch Ned Rig Worm

The Z-Man Big TRD stretches the classic TRD finesse profile into a 4-inch body for a larger Ned rig presentation. Soft, durable ElaZtech is naturally buoyant, allowing the tail to stand off the bottom when the bait rests on a suitable jighead.

Pair it with a compatible Ned rig head, including Z-Man Power Finesse ShroomZ, and let small movements and pauses do the work. Each pack contains six worms; the jighead is sold separately.

How to Fish It

Thread the worm straight onto a compatible Ned rig jighead with a keeper suited to ElaZtech. Choose enough weight to maintain control at your intended depth, accounting for wind and current, and keep the complete rig within your rod's casting rating.

Cast to an open bottom area or the edge of cover, let the rig settle, then begin with short drags and pauses. Give the buoyant tail time to rise between movements. Try a gentle shake while the head stays in place, or a slow swim above bottom when a dragging retrieve collects debris.

Watch the line for movement during the fall and pauses. Recover slack and apply a controlled hookset suited to the hook arrangement. Keep exposed hooks clear of dense vegetation and snagging cover, and check the bait's alignment after bites or contact with bottom.

Storage and Care

Keep Big TRD baits in their original packaging, separate from conventional soft plastics and incompatible tackle materials. Avoid excessive heat and prolonged contact with other lure materials. Inspect the body around the hook entry point and check the jighead and line for damage before fishing again.
