Z-MAN Chatterbait Jack Hammer 1/2 oz. – Ghost Baby Bluegill

The Z-MAN Chatterbait Jack Hammer is the tournament-proven bladed jig used by Elite Series pros to win at the highest level. Engineered with a premium Grade 4 custom hook, a hand-tied silicone skirt, and Z-MAN’s signature hex blade, the Jack Hammer delivers elite-level vibration, flash, and durability that separates it from every other bladed jig on the market. Ghost Baby Bluegill is a translucent, natural bluegill-inspired color with subtle green/orange tones — a deadly finesse color for clear water and pressured fish feeding near bluegill beds and shallow structure.

Key Features

  • Grade 4 custom hook — ultra-sharp, heavy-gauge hook built for big fish and heavy cover; won’t straighten under pressure
  • Hand-tied premium silicone skirt — full, flowing action that breathes and pulses at any retrieve speed
  • Z-MAN hex blade — signature hexagonal blade produces the distinctive Jack Hammer thump and flash that bass can’t ignore
  • 1/2 oz. weight — ideal for deeper presentations, faster retrieves, and covering water quickly on medium-heavy to heavy casting gear
  • Ghost Baby Bluegill color — a translucent, natural bluegill-inspired pattern with subtle green, orange, and pearl tones; outstanding in clear water during the bluegill spawn and around docks and shallow structure where bass are targeting juvenile bluegill

How to Fish It

Cast and slow-roll along docks, laydowns, grass edges, and shallow flats on medium-heavy to heavy casting gear with 15–20 lb fluorocarbon or 40–50 lb braid. Ghost Baby Bluegill is the go-to color during the bluegill spawn — late spring through early summer — when big bass are actively targeting juvenile bluegill near the bank. Pair with a bluegill-colored paddle tail or craw trailer for maximum effect.
