Z-Man ChatterBait Micro 1/8 oz Bladed Jig

The Z-Man ChatterBait Micro puts bladed-jig vibration into a compact 1/8-ounce presentation for light tackle. Its micro ChatterBlade and patented head-to-blade connection produce a thumping, erratic action when you want to match smaller forage rather than throw a full-size jig.

A needle-sharp 2/0 hook and Chartreuse/White skirt complete the downsized profile. Try it in ponds or when targeting crappie and other fish feeding on small baitfish. The bright skirt gives you a contrasting color combination without adding a larger lure to the presentation.

How to Fish It

Use tackle suited to the lure's weight and check that the skirt and blade move freely before casting. Make a short test retrieve beside you to find a pace that keeps the blade vibrating. Start with a steady swim rather than working it with constant rod snaps.

Cast along open edges of cover or across pond areas where small baitfish are present. Let the jig settle to the desired depth, then retrieve slowly enough to stay in that zone while keeping the blade working. Raise the rod tip or increase your pace when you need to bring it higher.

Add a brief pause or small change in speed if a straight retrieve isn't drawing bites, then resume the swim. Keep contact during the fall and watch for unexpected line movement. When a fish takes it, reel into pressure and use a controlled hookset.

Clear weeds or debris from the blade and hook whenever the vibration changes. The exposed hook can catch cover, so guide it through open lanes rather than treating it as snag-proof.

Care and Storage

Rinse after use and let the lure dry before returning it to your tackle box. Check the hook point, line tie, and blade connection regularly, and remove any debris that could restrict blade movement. Store with the hook secured and the skirt free from compression.
