Z-Man Micro Shad HeadZ Jigheads 4-Pack

Z-Man Micro Shad HeadZ pair a detailed minnow-shaped head and 3D eyes with a light-wire black nickel hook for crappie and panfish presentations. Rig them with compatible Micro Finesse soft plastics to build a compact baitfish profile.

A hybrid split-grip and wire keeper helps secure the bait on the shank. Choose from four weights and the available colors for each weight. Each pack contains four jigheads.

How to Fish It

Choose a Micro Finesse plastic that fits the hook and leaves the gap clear. Hold it beside the shank to locate the exit point, then thread it straight and carefully seat the nose at the hybrid keeper. Check that the small body is not bowed or bunched.

Start with a slow, steady swim around open cover edges or above fish holding off bottom. Make a short test retrieve where you can see the rig and correct its alignment if it rolls. Use brief pauses and small rod-tip movements rather than overpowering the compact bait.

For a vertical presentation, lower the jig to your target depth and use subtle lifts and holds while keeping track of the line. Choose the lightest head that still lets you control the rig in the depth, wind, and current you are fishing. Match your tackle to the light-wire hook and the complete rig's weight.

Watch for a slight twitch, sideways movement, or unexpected slack during the fall. Reel into contact and use a controlled hookset rather than a hard snap. Recheck bait alignment after each fish or contact with cover. Favor clear paths around vegetation because the hook is exposed.

Care and Storage

Rinse after use and let the jigheads dry before storage. Inspect the fine hook points and keepers for damage, replacing damaged heads. Keep the small hooks secured in a divided tackle box. Store rigged ElaZtech baits separately from conventional soft plastics and other incompatible materials.
