Z-Man Micro WormZ 2-Inch Finesse Worm

The Z-Man Micro WormZ puts a slender worm profile into a compact 2-inch bait for trout, crappie, perch, sunfish, and finesse bass fishing. A segmented body, defined egg sack, and thin tapered tail give it detail without bulky appendages.

Soft, buoyant ElaZtech helps the tail lift off the bottom and quiver with slight rod movement, with the final posture depending on your hook and rig. The thicker head provides a starting point for jighead rigging, while the resilient body also suits small wacky and drop shot presentations. Each pack contains eight USA-made baits; hooks and jigheads are sold separately.

How to Fish It

On a micro jighead, thread the thicker head straight onto an appropriately sized hook and leave the tapered tail free. Let the rig settle, then work it with short crawls, tiny hops, and pauses. Start with minimal movement so the small worm stays close to the depth fish are using.

For a wacky presentation, hook the worm near the middle with a suitably small hook, leaving both ends free. Let it fall on a controlled line, add a gentle lift, and allow it to settle again. Watch for a twitch, sideways slide, or unexpected stop during the fall.

On a drop shot, nose-hook the worm and adjust the distance between hook and weight to place it above the bottom at the fish's depth. Keep the weight relatively still while adding slight rod-tip movements, then pause. Avoid pulling so hard that the little worm stays rigid.

Choose hook and weight sizes that fit the small body and your fishing conditions. Keep the complete rig within your rod's rating, reel up slack when you detect a bite, and use a controlled lift. Straighten the worm after each fish so the tail remains free.

ElaZtech Care and Storage

Keep the baits in their original packaging, separate from conventional soft plastics and other incompatible materials. Avoid prolonged heat and direct sunlight during storage. Let used baits dry before putting them away, and store the slender bodies and tapered tails straight rather than compressed beneath other tackle.
