Z-Man Mulletron LT 4.5-Inch Line-Through Swimbait
The Z-Man Mulletron LT pairs a mullet-shaped ElaZtech body with a wedge-shaped swimming tail and a top line-through harness. After the hookset, the body can slide up the fishing line, moving the lure's weight away from the hooked fish rather than keeping it fixed beside the hook.
This 4.5-inch inshore swimbait has a moderate sink rate, a balanced internal harness, and a heavy-duty 3/0 sickle-style hook. The tail swims across a range of retrieve speeds, giving you room to adjust your pace as the depth and fish activity change. Its total casting weight is 3/4 oz, including a 1/4-oz internal lead weight.

How to Fish It
Follow the supplied line-through rigging instructions to route your line through the harness and attach the hook. Check that the hook sits correctly and that the body can slide freely along the line. Use tackle rated for the lure's full 3/4-oz casting weight, not just its internal lead weight.
Start with a steady retrieve along areas where mullet are present. Check the lure beside you to find a pace that keeps the wedge tail swimming and the body tracking upright. Count it down before retrieving when you need to fish deeper, adjusting the pause for current and water depth rather than relying on a fixed sinking time.
Mix in brief pauses to let the lure sink before resuming the swim. Keep enough contact to notice a bite during the fall. When a fish takes it, reel into pressure and set the hook with controlled force, then maintain steady line tension as the body moves away from the hook.
After each fish, inspect the line near the harness and knot, check the hook, and return the body to its fishing position. Clear any debris before casting again. An exposed hook can catch vegetation and other cover, so choose your casting lanes accordingly.
ElaZtech Care and Storage
Rinse the lure and hook with fresh water after saltwater use and let them dry before storage. Keep the ElaZtech body separate from conventional soft plastics and other incompatible materials, preferably in its original packaging. Avoid prolonged heat and direct sunlight, and store the tail straight to protect its shape.
