Z-Man ST GrubZ 2.5-Inch Curly Tail Grub

The Z-Man ST GrubZ combines a compact curly-tail profile with a deeply ribbed body and quad-cut tail. The ribs hold air bubbles and add texture, while the divided tail produces swimming movement on a slow retrieve.

This 2.5-inch ElaZtech grub fits finesse jighead and Ned rig presentations when you want a small-profile bait for multispecies fishing. Pair it with an appropriately sized, compatible Finesse ShroomZ, Pro ShroomZ, NedlockZ, or Finesse EyeZ jighead. Made in the USA, each pack contains eight baits; jigheads are sold separately.

How to Fish It

Thread the grub straight onto a compatible jighead, leaving the curly tail free of the hook and keeper. Check it with a short retrieve beside the boat or bank; if it rolls or tracks crookedly, adjust the body alignment before casting again.

Start with a slow, steady swim, using just enough speed to keep the tail moving. Add pauses to let the rig fall through the water column. Choose jighead weight for the depth, wind, and current, keeping the complete rig within your rod's casting rating.

For a bottom-focused Ned presentation, let it settle, then alternate short drags, gentle lifts, and pauses. Use small movements instead of constantly hopping the bait. Watch the line during the fall and pauses, and reel up slack before using a controlled hookset suited to your hook and line.

ElaZtech Care and Storage

Keep the baits in their original packaging, separate from conventional soft plastics and other incompatible materials. Avoid prolonged heat and direct sunlight during storage. Let used baits dry before putting them away, and keep the curly tails from being pinched beneath other tackle.
