Z-MAN SWAG LT Swimbait 5 in. – Threadfin Shad

Z-MAN SWAG LT Swimbait 5 in. – Threadfin Shad

The Z-MAN SWAG LT Swimbait is a large-profile, paddle tail swimbait built for targeting trophy largemouth, stripers, and big predator fish. The 5 in. model in Threadfin Shad is one of the most realistic baitfish imitations in the lineup — deadly when big bass are locked on threadfin shad in open water, around points, and on main lake structure.

Key Features

• 5 in. profile — matches the size of threadfin shad perfectly when bass are keyed on open water baitfish
• Paddle tail design — creates a wide, thumping action at a range of retrieve speeds
• Threadfin Shad color — a highly realistic silver/white shad pattern that is deadly in clear to lightly stained water, especially during fall shad migrations
• Durable soft plastic construction — holds up through multiple fish and extended use
• Versatile rigging — rig on a swimbait hook, underspin, or heavy jig head

How to Fish It

Rig on a swimbait hook or underspin with 12–17 lb fluorocarbon or braid on medium-heavy casting gear. Slow-roll along main lake points, ledges, and open water flats. Outstanding in fall when bass are blitzing threadfin shad on the surface. Also deadly on a steady slow roll along deeper structure in summer.
