Z-Man TT Lures HeadlockZ HD Jigheads
TT Lures HeadlockZ HD jigheads from Z-Man pair extra-heavy-duty Mustad UltraPoint hooks with a ribbed split-grip keeper for securing tough ElaZtech plastics. The bullet-shaped head gives you a versatile jighead profile, while an etched weight marking helps you identify the head when changing rigs.
Choose the hook size and weight to match your plastic and the water you are fishing. Pack quantity varies with the configuration, so select the matching hook size, weight, and pack size before adding to your cart.

How to Fish It
Start with the soft plastic rather than the head weight: lay the hook beside the body and check that its length and gap suit the bait. Thread the plastic straight onto the shank and carefully seat the nose over the ribbed split-grip keeper. Leave the hook gap clear and avoid bunching the body behind the head.
Choose enough weight to control the presentation at your target depth without defaulting to the heaviest option. For a swimming plastic, begin with a steady retrieve and adjust your countdown and rod angle to change depth. For bottom-oriented presentations, use controlled lifts and pauses while following the line on the fall.
Check the rig beside you before making a full cast. If the plastic rolls or tracks unevenly, correct its alignment before changing retrieve speed. Match your rod, line, and drag to the hook and the complete rig's weight, including the plastic, especially when using the larger configurations.
Watch for a change in pressure or line direction, reel into contact, and set the hook with controlled force. Recheck the bait after a fish or contact with cover. The heavy-duty hook does not make an exposed-hook rig weedless, so choose clear retrieve paths.
Care and Storage
Rinse after use and allow the jigheads to dry before storage. Inspect hook points and keepers for damage, replacing damaged heads. Sort heads by weight using the etched markings and secure the hooks in your tackle box. Store ElaZtech plastics separately from conventional soft plastics and other incompatible materials.
