Z-Man TT Lures NedlockZ EWG Jigheads

TT Lures NedlockZ EWG jigheads from Z-Man pair a mushroom-shaped head with a heavy-duty size 1 VMC extra-wide-gap hook for weedless Ned-style rigging. Tuck the hook point into a compatible small soft plastic to reduce exposed hook around vegetation and scattered cover.

The molded bait keeper helps hold the plastic in place through casts and strikes. Choose 1/15, 1/10 or 1/6 ounce to suit the depth, wind and current. Each pack contains four jigheads. Green Pumpkin is available in 1/15 ounce; Chartreuse is available in 1/15, 1/10 and 1/6 ounce.

How to Fish It

Select a finesse plastic that fits the size 1 hook without filling the gap or bunching on the shank. Thread the nose onto the hook and seat it at the molded keeper. Align the body, pass the point through at its natural exit location, and lightly tuck it into the plastic's surface. The bait should sit straight and have room to compress when a fish bites.

Choose a head weight that lets you follow the rig in the depth, wind and current you are fishing. Let the rig fall on a controlled line, watching for a twitch or sideways movement. Once it settles, use small drags and pauses rather than repeatedly snapping it off the bottom.

Try a slow swim above low vegetation when bottom contact causes repeated hang-ups. Wind, current, depth, and the plastic you choose affect control; change your casting angle or select a heavier head if you cannot keep track of the presentation. Match your tackle to the heavy-duty hook and the full rig's weight, including the bait.

Reel into contact when you detect a bite, then set the hook with controlled force. Check the bait's alignment and tucked point after a fish or contact with cover. Weedless rigging reduces hook exposure but does not prevent every snag.

Care and Storage

Rinse after use and let the jigheads dry before storage. Inspect hook points and molded keepers for damage, replacing damaged heads. Secure hooks in your tackle box. Store any rigged ElaZtech baits separately from conventional soft plastics and other incompatible materials.
